ABOUT KATE

As a child, I loved the animals around me and spending time in nature. It was a felt relationship like many children and adults have. I didn't imagine that speaking with animals was possible, that was just in storybooks and movies, although I wished for it deep down inside in an unknown part of me.
Today, talking telepathically is my new normal by learning and applying the practices I now teach. Every conversation brings joy, wisdom and wonder. I am passionate about awakening this dream within humanity, sparking the knowing that you’re not crazy, that it’s very real and a natural part of everyone.
Intuition allows us to connect with incredible inner knowing. It is powerfull and important for living and creating the change we wish to see in the world. Animals are soulful companions and guides in this.
After school I completed a BA Honours in Fine Art and Anthropology, followed by much adventuring and new learning. I travelled and enjoyed work as a massage therapist, permaculture market gardener and nature guide. This lead me to volunteer at various animals sanctuaries caring for all sorts of creatures with lots of personality, from honey badgers to hawks and feisty young caracals. Fuelled with the desire to make a difference in the world I started at Landmark Foundation’s Leopard and Predator Project. Here I set up and ran their environmental education program reaching 8000 children with talks, camps, art exhibitions and creative shows inspiring them to take action for the wilds.
Throughout these years I explored spirituality, healing courses and attended animal communication workshops with Amelia Kinkade and Anna Breytenbach. As my life settled I welcomed animal companions into my home and the real learning began of living what I believed in. Then one day when all my dreams as an eco-educator were coming to fruition, a deeper voice started calling. It wanted me to grow and change. One night I dreamt my bright red postbox was spilling over with a tidal wave of letters from animals, I woke up both excited and panicked. What did they have to say? I needed to hear them and learn to help them in a different way.
I took the leap of faith and qualified at Animaltalk Africa's Academy with Wynter Worsthorne in 2013. In animal communication I found not only my vocation but also community, fun and a spiritual practice for living. I am immensely grateful to all my teachers over the years that have honoured their inner voices and opened the way for others. It takes care, commitment and courage to help the earth.
I share this part of my story because many reading this will know that voice. It’s that voice, that feeling and desire inside which probably guided you to look up animal communication in the first place. That voice which calls you to live true to yourself, the animals and the wild nature which you love.
